We are seeking those who love to translate their passion for hunting, fishing, and cooking into written articles and recipes, stunning photography, or captivating short films.
At Harvesting Nature, we are a community of hunters, anglers, foragers, and passionate cooks. We have created a community where we can freely and openly share our passion for wild food and the outdoors with others to inspire and educate those around us to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle.

At Harvesting Nature, we welcome passionate voices who share our love of wild food, adventure, and storytelling. If you’re an experienced writer, photographer, wild recipe developer, or filmmaker looking to share your skills, build your professional presence, and join a thriving wild food community, we have three opportunities available for you to contribute, grow, and collaborate with us:
Contributor
Contributors are the heart of our community. Guided by our contribution sheet and supported by the Managing Editor, contributors may submit recipes or articles at their own pace. There are no monthly requirements.
Many of our contributors are excited to see their work published, while others are honing their skills, building a portfolio, or promoting a personal project. While monetary compensation is not provided at this level, it’s a fantastic way to get started, gain exposure, and begin your journey with us.
We encourage sharp food photography and engaging, well-written recipes and articles. Don’t worry, we’ll work with you to help refine and improve your craft.

Field Staff Writer
Field Staff Writers have demonstrated consistency and talent as Contributors and are ready to take the next step. We ask for one article or recipe per month, submitted with guidance from the Managing Editor and our contribution sheet.
Field Staff Writers are often establishing themselves professionally in writing and photography. At this level, we expect strong photography and polished, engaging writing. Spots are limited.

Senior Staff Writer
Senior Staff Writers are established professionals or seasoned contributors whose work speaks for itself. They collaborate closely with the Managing Editor, pitching ideas for articles and recipes, while still having access to the contribution sheet for inspiration.
At this level, we expect exceptional quality in both food photography and writing. Because of the high standards, the number of Senior Staff Writers is limited.
Senior Staff Writer Benefits:
- $75 per article or recipe
