I was born and raised in Southern California and have never had the opportunity to live anywhere else. I was one of those kids who left in the morning and just had to be home before the streetlights came on, or dinner, whichever happened to come first. My main activities were roller hockey and BMX. I spent countless hours building jumps in any empty dirt lot we could find, and hucked myself off of them! It’s something I still do often. I went deep sea fishing with my dad. When we went on family vacations in Cabo, we would fish for Marlin and Dorado. My father was also the person who got me into archery when I was young. We were in a Friday league like some families go bowling.

I’ve worked in sales since highschool, from selling boxes to windows and now plumbing. 16 years ago I started plumbing. I started drain cleaning and installing fixtures. I currently combined both my skills and now I sell water heater installation to residential and commercial customers. I am a father to two boys, 16 and 12. My wife and I just celebrated our two year wedding anniversary; and although marriage took a long time to finally happen, we’ve been together for 17 years. We definitely have done things a little backwards, but I have a wonderful family that I love and very proud of.
I’m 37 years old and still have my love for the outdoors and have also shared it with my kids. We go camping in the mountains and at the beach every chance we get, even when we are in the desert on our dirt bikes. I am an avid angler. I bass fish my local lakes on a regular basis, and with the Pacific as our backyard, I love when I can crush yellowtail and any other ocean fish. A few years ago I picked up archery again and it has become a huge part of my everyday life.
I recently found a passion for harvesting my own food. I grow all my own vegetables and one of my favorite things to do is to pickle the veggies I grow. Although I am new to hunting, a few friends and I recently went on our first deer hunt in a pretty tough zone in California. I did not personally, but as a group we were successful at the harvest of two bucks. With the help of my buddy, we processed and butchered the deer in my kitchen. Needless to say I am hooked on hunting.

I also fancy myself a self proclaimed chef and love cooking. With hunting becoming such an important aspect of my life, I see a dish on a television show or on social media and I instantly figure out how it can be put to use in game meat. I was taught by my mother and one of my really close friends how to cook, and how much better it was to do things from scratch when you could.
