D. Renna

I got my start hunting and fishing at a young age running around the woods of Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. My family taught me that every season has a flavor- from the fresh picked dandelions and trout of Spring, Summer surfcasting for stripers, blues, and fluke with silver queen corn off the jetties of Martha’s Vineyard, Fall garden sharp parsnips, onions, and deer liver, to Winter baking, roasting, grinding, and canning from the sum of all the previous seasons’ bounty. With this constant connection to nature and the flavors of the seasons, I continue to live my life with my wife on a small Homestead in Western MA, raising livestock, hunting, and farming to fill our pantries and freezer. I take every advantage to keep the connection to my food and know where it comes from while keeping the balance of family, work, and life,
